Eric Jones, CFA® is an associate portfolio manager and senior trader at Capstone Financial Advisors. He joined Capstone’s investment team in 2019, and is responsible for assisting with investment research and due diligence efforts, and overseeing the firm’s trading processes and portfolio management systems. His focus is on the details. He loves observing and studying how the economy operates and evolves in order to best create financial security for Capstone clients.

Building community

Since 2012, Eric has volunteered with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, an Internal Revenue Initiative that offers free tax assistance for eligible taxpayers. He also donates his time with the Capstone team at the Ronald McDonald House Charities and is a member of the CFA Society Chicago. During his free time, you can find him on the golf course or at the hockey rink.

Eric is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major in Finance and Accounting at Benedictine University. Prior to joining Capstone, Eric was a derivatives analyst at Legal & General Investment Management America and Mizuho Securities.
